Billing is accessed via the Facility menu.

Each tab in billing may be directly accessed here. Once any tab is opened, the others are all visible.

The MMEx Billing module utilises double entry accounting methods to assist users to manage their business transactions and accounts. Click here to learn more.
The billing module is divided into tabs- each tab manages a different billing function:

  • Visit - record MBS or custom billing item numbers against a specific session of care to produce a bulk billing, DVA or private billing account entry. This tab shows the visits (total billed) amount and amount paid by medicare, alongside each other
  • Claim - previously known as batches - these are the grouped Medicare claims that are submitted to Medicare for payment. This tab shows payments received against claims.
  • Quote - provide an estimate of the cost of care to let a potential customer know the cost of goods or services before they decide to purchase/proceed with them.
  • Invoice - produce a 'bill' for goods or services, to be paid by the customer or a third party. This tab displays payments against invoices for private billing.
  • Payment - manage all monies received regardless of source being Medicare, payment by client or third-party; includes payment of invoices. This tab displays all payments collectively.
  • Account - an account within a Ledger that is used to sort and store transactions - MMEx has two types of accounts: customer accounts and Provider Accounts. If you wish to see information about a customer's outstanding debt (or credit status) the account tab displays this.
  • Journal - a complete record of all financial transactions in order by date.
  • Ledger - a grouping of accounts to sort and store transaction information. Organisations may have more than one Ledger.
